Vacuum glass installations.
Vacuum insulated glass (VIG) units are the future of glazing and being used extensively around the world. They have incredibly low U values, from 0.7 W/m²K down to as low as 0.38 W/m²K. They can be as thin as 6.2mm but average 8.4mm thick and can last up to 50 years. We work with both major manufacturers who supply Europe and are the UK’s biggest customer for both for Steel windows. We have supplied and fitted Landvac into projects up to 1000m2 and Fineo up to 700m2. English Heritage have inspected and approved our Fineo VIG installations in both in-situ and ex-situ restorations and also in new replica windows in a Grade II listed building.
We can also offer this in a Toughened glass unit too, perfect for doors and low-level windows. Vacuum glass combines best in class performance with appealing aesthetics.
Its slim profile means it can integrate seamlessly into existing frames or into new windows and curtain walls. Unlike previous vacuum glazing technologies, AGC’s unique product has no evacuation port to obstruct the view and has very thin edge seals, ensuring maximum vision area. AGC delivers the most advanced vacuum insulating glazing technology yet, optimizing indoor comfort by outperforming conventional insulating glazing. More information available on request.
